The GEPRC MATEN 5.8G 2.5W VTX PRO provides video transmission for FPV drone installations, with a built-in microphone for real-time sound transmission. Its five selectable transmit power levels run from 25mW to 2500mW, alongside Pit mode. The current configuration provides 80 channels across 4884-6184MHz and includes the 4.9G X Group with direct frequency entry through the configurator. IRC Tramp enables OSD parameter adjustment, while a function adjustment button and three indicator lights provide local controls. Video format support covers PAL/NTSC.
The 20g module measures 36.3×36.3×15.1mm and uses a CNC aluminum alloy enclosure with an integrated micro turbofan for heat dissipation. Two M2 mounting patterns, 20x20mm and 30.5×30.5mm, provide installation options. Integration connections comprise an MMCX antenna interface and an SH1.0 six-pin cable interface. Power input is DC7-36V for a 2-8S battery, with a separate 5V@600mA output restricted to a camera or cooling fan. Silver replaced the discontinued red version in March 2024, although both colors remain in the color listing.
The supplied package contains the transmitter, an MMCX copper tube antenna, a 75mm MMCX-to-SMA connector, a 150mm connecting cable, six M2*5 screws and four M2*12 screws. This is a transmitter component package for integration into an FPV drone. Install its antenna before use and maintain constant airflow during flight in a well-ventilated environment. Confined installations require a cooling fan despite the built-in active cooling and thermal protection. Connecting battery input to the 5V output will severely damage the transmitter.
