The GEPRC MATEN 1.2G 5W VTX PRO is a video transmitter intended for integration into a flight system, including long-distance flight applications. Its four selectable transmission power levels run from 25mW to 5000mW, with Pit mode also available. Frequency coverage extends from 1080MHz to 1360MHz, and direct frequency entry is supported in the configurator. A single button and three indicator lights provide local control, while IRC Tramp supports parameter adjustment through an on-screen display.
The transmitter uses a CNC aluminum alloy enclosure designed to dissipate heat and resist impacts. It measures 60×33.2×19.1mm and weighs 48g for the VTX alone. Electrical integration uses a DC7–36V input for a 2–8S battery, an SMA antenna connection and a sh1.25 six-pin cable connector. Mounting information is inconsistent: 20×20mm M2 is common to both statements, but the second pattern is given as either 25.5×25.5mm or 30.5×30.5mm. Channel counts likewise differ between 16CH and 14 selectable channels.
The supplied package contains the VTX, an SMA pin-to-socket connector, a six-pin connection cable, six M2*5 screws, six M2*6 screws and a product description. Installation requires an antenna before operation, constant airflow and adequate ventilation; confined installations require a cooling fan. Temperature protection is included, but these cooling requirements still apply. The 5V@600mA output serves only a camera or cooling fan. Connecting a battery or power input to that output can seriously damage the transmitter.
