Product overview
The DJI RM220 is a remote controller for DJI Avata, with a physical control arrangement combining an independent joystick, a throttle trigger and an FN dial. The joystick handles altitude changes and lateral movement to either side, while reverse actuation of the throttle trigger commands backward flight. The FN dial provides access to camera parameter adjustments and interface interaction within the goggles. At approximately 170 g, the controller supplies the operator controls for this aircraft-and-goggles setup.
Integration is limited to DJI Avata, with support for DJI Goggles Integra, DJI Goggles 2 and DJI FPV Goggles V2; flight simulators are unsupported. The controller operates across two frequency bands, although 5.8 GHz is unavailable in some countries or regions. Maximum effective signal distance is 10 km under FCC specifications or 6 km under CE/SRRC/MIC specifications in open, unobstructed, interference-free outdoor conditions. Operating temperature is -10°C to 40°C. Approximately five hours of operation applies at 25°C while connected to DJI Avata and stationary.
