DJI Mini SE is a folding camera aircraft for aerial photography and video, integrating a 1/2.3-inch CMOS camera with a three-axis mechanical gimbal. Its 12 million effective pixels support photographs up to 4000×3000, while video recording reaches 2.7K at 30p or Full HD at 60p. The 24 mm equivalent f/2.8 lens provides an 83° field of view and comes with a UV filter. Controllable pitch spans -90° to 0° by default, extending to +20° when enabled.
The aircraft folds to 138×81×58 mm and measures 245×289×56 mm unfolded with propellers. Its controller accommodates mobile devices up to 160 mm long and 6.5–8.5 mm thick, with Lightning, Micro USB Type-B and USB Type-C interfaces listed. DJI Fly provides the mobile application, and enhanced Wi-Fi carries a 720p/30fps live view. The 2250 mAh flight battery supports a maximum 30-minute flight at a constant 17 km/h without wind. Neither the standard package nor Fly More Combo includes a charging adapter; one must be purchased separately.
Downward positioning supports precise hovering over 0.5–10 m, requiring discernible diffuse-reflective surfaces with reflectivity above 20% and illumination above 15 lux. Obstacle avoidance is absent. Operating temperature is 0–40°C, and maximum takeoff altitude is 3000 m. There is no onboard storage; capture without an SD card is limited to 720p photos and videos. Communication maxima depend on controller variant, frequency and radio standard, measured outdoors in an open environment without interference or obstructions.
