The DJI Mini 3 Pro combines a folding aircraft, camera and three-axis mechanical gimbal for aerial photography and video. Its 1/1.3-inch sensor provides up to 48 million effective pixels, with a 24 mm equivalent f/1.7 lens and recording up to 4K at 60 fps. Controllable gimbal tilt spans -90° to 60°, with roll positions of -90° or 0°. The aircraft measures 145 × 90 × 62 mm folded and 251 × 362 × 70 mm unfolded with propellers. Forward, backward and downward vision sensing works alongside an underside ToF height sensor.

Package choices pair the aircraft with a DJI RC screen-equipped controller or an RC-N1, or supply the aircraft without a controller. The RC-N1 supports mobile-device dimensions of 180 × 86 × 10 mm and Lightning, Micro-USB Type-B or USB-C interfaces. Packages include a USB-C to USB-C PD cable but exclude a charging adapter and SD card. The aircraft has 1.2G of onboard storage and supports microSD cards, with UHS-I Speed Grade 3 or higher recommended. These configurations supply an aircraft rather than an airframe-only construction kit.

Battery selection changes the operating envelope: maximum takeoff altitude is 4000 m with the Intelligent Flight Battery and 3000 m with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. The latter raises aircraft weight to approximately 290 g and must not be combined with propeller guards or other additional loads. Vision operation requires diffusely reflective, richly textured surfaces with reflectivity above 20% and illumination above 15 lux; there is no downward auxiliary light. Waypoint flight and route planning are unsupported. Maximum horizontal speed is dynamically limited by local regulations.
