Product overview
The DJI EV50 is a cargo flight platform built around vertical takeoff and landing followed by fixed-wing cruise. Eight lift rotors and three cruise propulsors form its redundant propulsion architecture, while a large-span wing supports longer transport routes. Runway-free deployment suits operations that need to move between locations. Its maximum payload is 50 kg, and its 270 L wide-body cargo compartment provides space for different cargo combinations. The 150 km maximum range and 160 km/h maximum airspeed both apply to the unladen aircraft.
For transport and storage, two people can assemble or disassemble the EV50 without tools within five minutes. Its equipment includes a standard parachute, redundant pitot tubes with self-heating support, and automatic propeller locking. PSDK support provides an expansion route for mission equipment. During a May 2026 scientific mission from Everest Base Camp, an EV50 carrying an ozone measuring instrument and other equipment reached 8,861 m above sea level in thin, low-pressure air and complex winds; this figure describes that mission’s achieved altitude.
