The Dancing Wings Hobby XCG03 is a balsawood radio-controlled biplane modelled on the Pitts and built for 3D aerobatic flying. It is aimed at intermediate and experienced pilots and can fly at high and low speeds as well as perform advanced aerobatics. As a biplane, it is more stable and easier to maneuver than most other remote controlled planes, and the extra lift from its two wings lets it take off faster. The structure is light, strong and crash resistant. The wings are designed for smooth airflow, which gives good stability and easy control even in windy conditions.
The XCG03 comes as an Almost Ready to Fly version with detailed assembly instructions. It has a 1520mm (60") wingspan and a 1360mm (54") fuselage. Flying weight is about 4kg, and takeoff weight is around 3.8-4.2kg. The airframe takes either an electric or a gas engine. The suggested equipment is an AT4125 540KV motor, an 80A ESC for 6S and a 6S battery of 3800-6000mAh. The suggested propellers are listed as EP 16 inch and GP 17 inch. The servo list is two 17g servos and three 25g servos, plus one 37g servo shown in parentheses. The radio needs 4 or more channels.
