Product overview
The CUAV HV_PM Power Module is a high-voltage power module independently developed by CUAV and included in its V5 series controller kit. It provides battery voltage and current monitoring alongside a 5 V BEC output rated for a maximum current of 5 A. Its documented input range is 10–60 V, described as supporting 3S–14S batteries. CUAV specifies voltage detection accuracy of ±0.1 V and current detection accuracy of ±0.2 A, with a maximum detection current of 60 A and a maximum output current of 60 A at the ESC/MOTOR port.
Configuration is documented for both Mission Planner and QGroundControl. In Mission Planner, setup uses analog voltage and current monitoring with the CUAV HV PM sensor selected; V5 series flight controllers use the CUAV v5 setting. The procedure calls for writing the parameters and restarting both the ground station and flight controller. In QGroundControl, cell count is set to match the battery, with a voltage divider of 18 and an A/V value of 24. The guidance gives typical per-cell values of 4.2 V when full and 3.7 V when empty for LiPo batteries, while noting that the empty-voltage setting depends on the battery.
