Product overview
The CNHL Lightning LiHV 7800mAh 22.8V 6S 120C Battery with EC5 Plug supplies electrical energy for large EDF jets, performance RC airplanes and other compatible high-power 6S models. Its architecture uses high-voltage lithium-polymer chemistry in a 6S cell configuration, with 177.84Wh nominal energy. The pack configuration combines an EC5 output plug, a JST-XH-7P balance connector and 10AWG wiring. Its discharge specification distinguishes 120C continuous operation from 240C burst operation, while charging has a separate maximum rate of 5C.
Installation planning must accommodate the 152 × 51 × 59mm length, width and height and approximately 875g pack weight. Aircraft integration also requires suitable battery retention, wire routing, cooling, takeoff weight and final center of gravity. The EC5 plug can connect physically to an IC5 main power connection when polarity and orientation are correct. This conventional battery has no Spektrum Smart communication, automatic identification or Smart telemetry. Other connector systems require a correctly rated adapter or professional connector conversion.
Charging configuration determines the upper operating voltage: full LiHV charging reaches 26.1V, or 4.35V per cell, and requires both a compatible LiHV balance charger and an ESC rated for that voltage. Where full LiHV support remains unconfirmed, balance charging to 25.2V, or 4.20V per cell, keeps the pack within conventional 6S LiPo voltage limits while sacrificing some usable energy. Procurement decisions should also account for variable runtime: throttle use, model efficiency, wind, operating load and the retained energy reserve affect the benefit of the 7800mAh capacity.
