The Ascent Lite+ is a two-part digital FPV link component. A compact camera with a 1/2.8-inch image sensor and built-in microphone connects to a separate transmitter board, so the system carries live HD video and audio together. Video output options are 1080P and 720P at 120, 100 or 60 fps, in a 16:9 frame with a 147° field of view. Average end-to-end latency is 35 ms, and the maximum bitrate is 25 Mbps. The design targets micro, racing, freestyle and long-range builds where low weight matters. Other listed uses include fixed-wing aircraft and RC cars.
The transmitter board measures 23.5 × 23.5 × 8 mm and mounts on a 20 × 20 mm M2 hole pattern. The camera measures 12 × 14 × 15.8 mm. The listed weight is 10.5 g. Without the VTX metal cover, the VTX alone weighs 2.75 g and the transmission kit weighs 5.96 g. The heat-conducting metal housing protects the board and can be removed to save weight. Power comes through a JST1.0 4-pin lead, and a 5-pin HSG0.8 connector provides USB. The upgraded 6-pin connection supports Betaflight, INAV, FETtec, KISS and ArduPilot flight controllers. Input ranges from 3 V to 12.6 V, which covers 1S to 3S battery systems.
The radio covers 5.730 to 5.815 GHz on three channels, with 5, 10 or 20 MHz bandwidth or automatic selection. It supports both automatic frequency hopping and manual channel selection, plus secure pairing with AES-256 encrypted transmission. It also supports head tracking. Transmit power is rated up to 500 mW, but the EIRP limit depends on the regulatory region: up to 27 dBm under FCC/SRRC and below 14 dBm under CE. The single IPEX-1 antenna port takes one antenna. The maximum range of 8 km applies only under ideal conditions.
