Product overview
The APEX VR70 2.0 is an FPV flight kit for beginner through advanced operation. Its camera combines a 120° wide-angle lens with 480p video and 5.8G transmission to the supplied goggles. High-elastic materials and four anti-collision guardrails provide protection against bumps and drops. Head tracking uses the included audio cable between controller and goggles and activates through a long press of the Mode button; head movements then command flight direction or descent. Fixed Altitude Mode assists beginner operation, while manual mode provides a no-kickback left throttle rocker for flips, rolls and dives.
The supplied configuration includes the drone, receiver-equipped goggles, remote controller, three batteries, goggles antenna, charging cable, manual, four spare propellers and four spare motors. A charging case supports three batteries charging simultaneously. Integration options include other 5.8G FPV goggles and alternative control using an SBUS-compatible remote control and receiver; the supplied controller uses a proprietary protocol. The goggles offer 48 channels across 5.4G-5.9G and can receive another drone's camera when its frequency matches one of those channels. Computer simulator use requires an appropriate connection cable purchased separately.
The controller-to-drone maximum distance is about 200m, while the drone-to-goggles distance is about 80m. Weight figures conflict at 40 grams and 100 grams, leaving the exact weight unresolved. The battery configuration comprises three included 400mAh lithium-ion batteries, but duration figures also conflict: 30–45 mins per charge and 5 - 6 minutes of flight per battery. The controller supports DJI Virtual Flight, Uncrashed, TRYPFPV and Phoenix RC for simulator practice through a computer connection.
