Weiming Battery Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. develops lithium battery cells and battery packs for specialized applications. The company grew out of lithium-battery research by Professor Pan Feng’s Materials Genome and New Energy team at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, translating the team’s innovations into battery designs and manufacturing solutions. Its development work draws on lithium cobalt oxide cathode materials from Weiming Xinke, a cathode-material company incubated by the same research team. Applications span drone power, wearable devices, equipment for cold environments and diving robots.
Its range includes long-endurance drone batteries with an energy density of 380 Wh/kg, combining high-specific-energy lithium cobalt oxide cathode materials with silicon/carbon anodes. A separate lithium battery design uses lithium-metal anodes to achieve 630 Wh/kg, while high-rate aircraft batteries based on high-power lithium cobalt oxide materials provide 200C discharge. Other developments include low-temperature batteries for wearable devices and equipment operating at -55°C, battery packs for 10,000-meter diving robots, and magnetic mobile power banks designed to operate normally at -50°C. These designs address distinct requirements for energy density, discharge rate, deep-water applications and low-temperature operation.
