Chengdu Shidai Xingguang develops and manufactures industrial drone systems in Chengdu, China. Established on October 8, 2003, it began with digital television equipment, expanded into wireless image transmission and entered drone development and manufacturing in 2014. Its hardware range comprises multirotor aircraft, vertical-takeoff fixed-wing drones, intelligent docking stations and integrated air-ground command platforms supporting coordinated operation, remote supervision and real-time control. Civilian applications span infrastructure inspection, surveying, emergency response, environmental monitoring and low-altitude logistics.
The Zhanlang range includes W20 and W60 inspection drones, D35 and D55 vertical-takeoff fixed-wing aircraft, the A300 unattended system and the A20 vehicle-mounted intelligent drone dock. The TIM-W20 uses an offset, non-coplanar rotor layout, folding arms and quick-release propellers for portable deployment. It can also operate with fixed or vehicle-mounted docking stations. Its flight-control functions include obstacle avoidance, positioning, precision landing, navigation and following. Available payloads include a visible-light and thermal imaging gimbal with laser ranging, a five-lens oblique photography camera for three-dimensional modeling, lidar, a searchlight and a loudspeaker.
The TIM-W20 has a maximum takeoff weight of 19.7 kg, a maximum payload of 8 kg and a maximum flight speed of 23 m/s. Specified endurance is at least 25 minutes with a 5 kg payload, or at least 45 minutes with the standard three-sensor gimbal. Flight distance with that gimbal is at least 30 km. The standard data link provides a 20 km range under unobstructed line-of-sight conditions without interference. Assembly takes no more than three minutes, and the specified operating conditions include temperatures from -20 to 55 degrees Celsius and moderate rain.
The company's civilian solutions combine aerial sensing and command systems for emergency monitoring, search and rescue, temporary communications, lighting and supply delivery. Inspection applications cover oil and gas pipelines, electrical infrastructure, wind farms and solar installations, alongside construction management, environmental monitoring and land planning. In Yanyuan County, Liangshan, its forest and grassland fire solution brings together routine patrols, fire identification, firefighting, post-disaster assessment and long-term prevention as part of local fire prevention and response work.
