AheadX traces its origins to the iFLY UAS team at the robotics institute of Beihang University, and its core team comes from the same university. Its background includes research into miniature unmanned systems based on MEMS sensors.
The company develops drone navigation and flight-control hardware. Its development history records the release of a complete drone avionics system solution, followed by the Space ground-control software, a navigation and flight-control system named Jinniuzuo, and the Galaxy drone cloud-management system. It subsequently released Space Pro for operating multiple aircraft from one station and a second-generation flight-control system with hardware and software upgrades.
AheadX documents civilian applications in pipeline inspection, drone education and regional mapping. Its education offering covers simulation and practical training. For mapping, it supports multiple aircraft working across large block-shaped or strip-shaped areas, with flight algorithms intended to support the quality of the resulting maps.
