Honeycomb Aerospace Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd., known as Honeycomb Aerospace, develops unmanned aircraft and related hardware and software for industrial applications. Headquartered in Fengtai District, Beijing, its activities cover development, design, production, sales, technical training and after-sales support. Its civilian application areas include emergency rescue, inspection, intelligent security, oil and gas pipeline monitoring, environmental monitoring and nuclear monitoring. The company also describes operations in Anyang for testing under extreme UAV conditions, Tianjin for research and production, Hangzhou for application demonstrations, and Wuhu for processing and analyzing UAV operation data.
Its aircraft range spans multirotor, fixed-wing, vertical take-off and landing (VTOL), and unmanned helicopter platforms. Multirotor models include the HC-332E electric UAV, HC-332H hybrid UAV, HC-342E Pro for nuclear radiation monitoring, HC-342H Pro hybrid UAV and HC-325 for disaster reconnaissance. Fixed-wing aircraft include the HC-140 and HC-141. The VTOL range includes the HC-525 forest inspection UAV, HC-526E composite-wing UAV, HC-540 heavy-load UAV, HC-541 emergency communication UAV and HC-545 modular fixed-wing platform. Supporting equipment includes intelligent unmanned airports, a UAV command vehicle and the HC-SMART drone control system.
Honeycomb's helicopter range includes the HC-235, HC-245, HC-260 and TF-500. The HC-235 and HC-245 use a conventional single-main-rotor layout, with a fuel engine driving the main rotor, an electric motor driving the tail rotor, and a generator and batteries supplying onboard equipment. The HC-260 uses a horizontally opposed, water-cooled two-cylinder piston engine. Intended for emergency rescue, the TF-500 supports material transport and delivery through suspended loads and dropping. Depending on its equipment, it can also carry imaging cameras, base-station and satellite communication systems, loudspeaker modules or lighting for disaster-response work.
