Applications include power inspection, cargo lifting, emergency rescue, security patrol, surveying and mapping.

Hoverwing is headquartered in Zhongguancun Software Park, Beijing. Its flight base and innovation workshop are in Beijing's Yanqing Civil UAS Test Zone, while its production and flight base for large unmanned aircraft are in Zigong Aviation Industrial Park, Sichuan Province. In 2025, the company acquired a stake in Beijing Aeronitor Technology Co., Ltd. (TUSUAV) to collaborate on product technology and industry applications. It also launched a cooperative lifting kit based on the DJI FC100 and joined the DJI ecosystem that year.

The company's PBOX Multi-Unit Cluster Fire Suppression System applies cooperative drone control to firefighting. Developed around the DJI FC100 flight platform using DJI's Payload SDK, it is intended for operations in forests, grasslands, mountainous terrain and chemical plants. Its operating concept combines one reconnaissance unit with eight fire-suppression units, coordinating repeated suppression cycles and concentrated deployment. Alongside the FC100-based lifting kit, PBOX gives Hoverwing's hardware range two specific applications of multi-aircraft coordination: cooperative cargo lifting and aerial fire suppression.
